Fishing in Nova Scotia

Scenes from Peggy's Cove, a fishing port, and popular with the tourists.

The orange pots are for catching crabs, and the wooden ones are for catching lobster.

I understand that a lot of boats have lost their fishing quota's,
and there are many people out of work because of this.

They have very big tides, and the boats end up sitting on the sand.
Fishing is one of the main industries in Nova Scotia,
and being an island there are many ports and inlets.
